The purpose of acoustic curtains is to absorb resonance in a space, in other words for sound absorption.

Our acoustic curtains are made for maximum absorption by virtue of:
The optimum weight of the fabric
A purpose made acoustic lining
The correct volume of fabric,depth & ratio of folds, in order to increase the available surface area for absorption
The curtains are made to order. Lead time is 2-3 weeks.

Q. Are the curtains as effective for absorption as your acoustic panels?
A. No, they are not. The curtains should not be used as a substitute for acoustic foam or wall panels. The curtains are good for use where it is impractical to use acoustic foam or panels by virtue of the function of the area or design aesthetics or space available e.g. between the corner of the room and a nearby window.
Q. Will the curtains soundproof my window/door?
A. No, the curtains are not intended for soundproofing. Remember sound proofing is a structural issue. There is no substitute for acoustic glass or an acoustic door. You will however (depending on the square meterage) notice less resonance in the room with the curtains up & this will cause the room to have a "softer" less harsh sound. This does make for a more comfortable acoustic environment, where you feel more relaxed.
Q. Who will install my curtains?
A. When supplied as DIY kit they are very easy to install yourself or get your local handyman to mount the track & hang them. If you are in the Port Elizabeth, Cape Town or JHB/Pretoria area we can install for you at an additional cost.
Q. How do I choose the colour & place my order?
A. Once you have received your quote you will place your order & pay a 50% deposit, we will then courier a sample swatch to you for final selection. Your selection needs to be confirmed to us via e-mail or fax, then your order will go into production.
Q. What is the lead time once I place my order?
A. Once your deposit is received 2-3 weeks for manufacture plus delivery via our courier service.
